Brandi Carlile and Dave Grohl Go Busking

Wow....

Dave Grohl and Brandi Carlile rocked a 20-minute acoustic set in front of the Pikes Public Farmers Market, in Seattle! Carlile, who lives in Ravensdale, Washington, decided  to visit her old busking haunt, and invited the Foo Fighters frontman to join her! The famous twins, Phil and Tim Hanseroth, regulars in Carlile's band joined in as they covered The Beatles’ “Let It Be” and closed with Foo Fighters’ “Times Like These”!

New Music From Beck!

Beck just released a new single, “Saw Lightning,” a stunning new track written and produced by Beck and Pharrell Williams!  “Saw Lightning” is the first track to be released from Beck's forthcoming Hyperspace, to be released at an as yet undetermined point in the space time continuum.  Hyperspace will be Beck’s 14th album, following 2017’s GRAMMY-winning Colors

2017 was a great year for both Beck and Pharrell where Beck’s 2017 album Colors won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album, Pharrell won the Grammy for Producer of the Year!

In January, Beck released “Tarantula,” a song for the Oscar-nominated film ROMA. He also dropped a track  with Cage the Elephant just in time for their joint tour this summer!

We can't wait for their stop at Forest Hills Stadium with Spoon on Saturday August 17th!  Get tix and info here!

The Cure Planning Disintegration 30th Anniversary Show In North America

Robert Smith was on hand backstage at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony when he was asked about the upcoming Disintegration 30th Anniversary Shows planned for Sydney Austrialia and whether or not they planned on expanding to more than just the 3 dates announced

Smith outlined the genesis of their decision saying that they marked the anniversary’s of their first three albums in Australia and that they, “just wanted to do something to mark the anniversary of Disintegration because it obviously means a lot to me and a lot to the band.”

Smith continued, “As often happens with these things, I wanted it to be kinda low key, but the interest since we’ve announced it has been such that we are now looking at venues to do it in other places…”

The last time The Cure toured through they states they planned smaller venues than what it would take to pull of the style of shows they’re planning for Disintegration.

“We might just do two or three or four… Big shows across North America with the full kinda thing… Because its quite of a grandiose thing...”

Although not sure where exactly these anniversary shows will land, Smith concluded with, “Before the end of the year I’m sure we will have played in North America with it.”
